Our clients include many of the world’s premier pharmaceutical, biotechnology and diagnostic companies. Here are just some of the ways companies use our Thought Leader Assessment:

Discovering New Thought Leaders. When launching a new product or moving in a new direction, companies use the Thought Leader Assessment to identify Key Opinion Leaders in a therapeutic area. Companies with existing products use the Thought Leader Assessment to expand their reach and discover KOLs that they may not have considered – or even known about. Our methodology allows us to screen thousands of potential global, national or regional physicians for inclusion in each Assessment.

Validating Current Lists of Thought Leaders. Many companies have gathered their lists of Thought Leaders from a variety of sources over the years. Our Assessment removes the subjectivity by evaluating all Thought Leaders consistently and objectively. Furthermore, our Assessment puts every KOL ‘on the same playing field’ so that companies can see the true breadth and depth of experience of each Thought Leader as compared to others.

Forming Advisory Boards. Commercial and research teams use our tools to create advisory boards that have a balance of skills and experiences – ensuring a mix of expertise such as media savvy, extensive publishing, clinician knowledge, experienced investigator and more. Companies also use our tool to identify experts who can serve on specific ad-hoc boards that require specialized expertise or experiences.

Assisting Medical Liaisons. Medical liaisons have used the Thought Leader Assessment to improve their communication with Key Opinion Leaders. The assessment helps liaisons target the most influential Thought Leaders by understanding how these physicians compare in terms of expertise and experience. Liaisons also have used the tool to identify new Thought Leaders they did not consider. Information on the needs and interests of Thought Leaders also has aided liaisons in call planning, priority setting and relationship building.

Identifying Consultants. Companies have found our data to be helpful in choosing consultants who can address specific research, commercial or other issues associated with their products. Our tool gives detailed biographical information on past experiences and current areas of expertise that clients can search to find just what they need.

Selecting Investigators. By supplying detailed data on the names, phases, types and number of clinical trials in which a Thought Leader has participated, we aid our clients in selecting potential investigators. Other categories such as publications, conference involvement and area of expertise further inform decisions by allowing companies to see the full potential of each Thought Leader’s involvement in a clinical trial.

Choosing Speakers. With the Thought Leader Assessment, companies can review where, how often and on what topics a Key Opinion Leader has spoken. This information – combined with other biographical data – allows companies to select seasoned and credible speakers.
